WCPC has developed a system to organize all data typically
collected during a construction project, and organized into easy
storage and retrieval. This system is the Digital
Construction Documentation (DCD) system.
This system uses our proprietary software to store virtually any
type of document in a digital form. The DCD program allows
data to be organized and sorted by various categories, including
lot,
phase, unit,
subcontractor, trade or date, which can be displayed and
reproduced.
All information from an entire project can be reviewed or filtered
into a many specific categories.
Any document that exists can be converted or scanned from a
conventional format to digital format. This includes plans,
details, photographs, inspection reports, subcontractor contracts
and insurance certificates.
Project information stored on CD's is comprehensive, convenient and
immediately accessible. The DCD system is self contained and
requires no special software and can operate on virtually any
Windows™ based computer.
Data Access
During the construction process, current data including
site observations, open items reports, and photographs
from the jobsite are made accessible to clients via the secure
website www.myhousevirtualconstruction.net.
The website has an encrypted password system to ensure that
approved personnel have access to the project information. WCPC
will assign access only as determined by the client management
team. Access is revocable at any time based on a request from a
client representative.
Ready access to data allows clients to track progress of the
construction process, and allows easy follow up on items needing
attention, through a series of online tools designed for this
specific purpose.
